Weston super Mare’s dog friendly northern beach stretches from the Grand Pier to Knightstone Island, offering plenty of space for a seaside stroll with lovely views across the bay. Dogs are welcome here throughout the year, and the nearby promenade, cafés and attractions make it a great choice for a longer dog friendly day out.

What to expect

Dogs are welcome on the beach between the Grand Pier and Knightstone Island all year round. Dogs must be kept on a lead when using Weston promenade. The Grand Pier itself is now permanently dog friendly too. Well behaved dogs are welcome on leads, although they're not allowed in Tiffany's Restaurant or the Soft Play area.

Dog access

South of the Grand Pier towards Royal Sands, dogs are prohibited 9am–7pm from 1 May to 30 September.

Parking and accessibility

Large seafront parking. Marine Parade: £3.50 2hrs / £7 4hrs / £12 all day Mar–Oct.

Dog and safety warnings

Marine Lake is NO DOGS at any time. Dogs must be on leads on the promenade. Very dangerous mud at low tide.

Food nearby

Stones Cafe explicitly welcome dogs and provide water bowls and dog treats. Dr Fox's Tea Rooms is also dog friendly.

Walk

Very easy, flat promenade/beach.
