Ogmore-by-Sea is a beautiful dog friendly beach on the Glamorgan Heritage Coast, with expansive sands, rocky sections and plenty of rock pools to explore. Dogs are welcome throughout 2026, and you can extend your beach walk along the coast or towards the River Ogmore and historic Ogmore Castle.

Parking and accessibility
Rivermouth council car park, open roughly 7am–10pm. Toilets and refreshment vans. Wheelchair access across the beach itself is limited.
Dog and safety warnings
Rocky in places. Strong tides/river mouth. Don't attempt to cross the River Ogmore from the beach to the dunes.

The Watermill – dogs welcome in the bar area and beer garden.

Easy beach; moderate if adding coast path/castle.
